Oh god, I have to write yet another biography. Personally, I don’t think I’m all that exciting, but I’ll tell you a bit about myself.
Here are some highlights.
And so you are all aware, I’ve re-written this several times.
- Born and raised in Reno, NV, aka The Biggest Little City on Earth
- Started writing and drawing as soon as she could pick up a pen
- Graduated from Damonte Ranch High School’s Performing Arts Center with a designation in Vocal Performance
- Made my first film her senior year of high school: “The Daye of the Wild Rose.” It won some regional and state competitions.
5. After a year long detour in Boston, moved to Chicago to attend Columbia College Chicago for film. Graduated with a degree in Screenwriting, Directing, and Producing
6. Started working in VFX on Netflix’s “Locke and Key” soon after moving to LA in 2019. I’ve been working in VFX since.
7. After wrapping on “Locke and Key” in 2022, I booked a one way ticket to Scotland and fell in love with my ancestral home.
8. Lived in Budapest for almost a year
9. While living in Budapest, I decided to go back to school and enrolled at Pacifica Graduate Institute for a masters in Depth Psychology.
1 0. Upon returning from Europe, I moved to Toronto for a year for work while starting school.
1 1. While in Toronto, I started writing what will soon be my fiction debut, “The Last Seanchaidh.”
1 2. After a year in Toronto, I moved back to America in 2024 and was a little lost in life.
1 3. Started working on “The Lonely Wanderer” as a creative expression of my journey to self discovery after feeling burnt out by working in film.
1 4. Started speaking at academic conferences about depth psychology and mythology. Started working on my dissertation proposals cause I want a PhD in Folklore.
1 5. After a mental breakdown and depressive episode that was cured by a dip in the warm waters of Hawaii, I met the enigmatic Effie Spence and started producing our docu-series, “Motherlands.”
1 6. Finding my love of filmmaking again, I developed my own documentary as part of master’s thesis, titled “The Grotesque Mirror.”
1 7. Went to Greece to film “Motherlands” and fell in love with Thessaloniki.
1 8. Decided to publish “The Lonely Wanderer.” You can grab your copy today!
1 9. Returned to working in VFX after a 9 month hiatus.
20. And now I am just actively trying to figure out how to get back to Scotland.
Those are the highlights of my life. I am just a girl that loves storytelling, mythology, and my cat.
